Rustic Garland Tutorial

Man, I have been so busy lately and I figured if I wanted any new Christmas decorations I had better get started...yesterday.

I made a fun little "Night Before Christmas" banner last week and now I am getting started on some new garland for my tree.

I grabbed a simple pack of Christmas paper at HL and started punching out scalloped circles. You will need 6 for each medallion. Fold each one in half.

Then start hot gluing them together...careful, I am not responsible for any burns.

Don't be jealous of my rockin manicure.

Glue all of the pieces together, but leave the last side unglued.

When you have all of your medallions you can stat attaching them to your string, ribbon, twine, whatever you choose.

I used 24 medallions for a 9 ft length of garland.

I think this is going to look so good with my white tree lights!

Funny story, I made this while watching Halloween...the new one, not the awesome Jamie Lee Curtis classic.  Now every time I look at it all I can think of is scary Michael Myers as an eight year old psychopath-hope I can shake that before Christmas:)

Made some extras for you too! They are in my ETSY shop.

This looks great! LOL about Mike Meyers... Funny how what is going on when one makes a craft is so strongly tied to it in your mind once it is done.

It's decorations like this that make me wish I was at home this Christmas and refreshing my decorations.

Would love for you to show it off at my Christmas link party. It's new, every Monday and would be an excellent decorative idea for anyone who stopped by.

Hope to see you there! http://twelvecraftsofchristmas.blogspot.com
