You Are My Sunshine

  Man, I just love that song!

When I saw a baby shower decoration declaring it, I knew I HAD to make one for my sis-in-law and my new niece coming in 2 months!

I scavenged in the garage for a nice sized board to use for my sign, and

I painted it a sage green color, to match the jungle nursery.

Hmmm, I do not have a silhouette (tragedy, I know) so I had to bust out my trusty stencils (What is it 1999 around here? Don't even get me started, I only have a tape deck in my car!).

I measured and used a pencil to draw all the words and a friendly little sun.

My new FAVE supply is my Elmer's Painters Pen It writes like a pen, has a narrow and a wide tip, and covers like paint.

I ran out the the garage and scuffed that baby up.

I drilled two small holes near the top of the sign.

Next, I used a plastic needle to feed the thin jute through the holes.

I tied a small knot on each end.

Voila! A lovely little sign to decorate our shower and decorate Lily's room.

It always make me feel all warm and squishy when I get to write this....
