Holy Crap....Apartment Therapy?!?!

Sometimes, while siting in the morning and sipping my peppermint mocha coffee (thank you Coffee Mate for your holiday flavors), I discover a pleasant surprise in my e-mail, or a nice comment on a post, or a funny facebook photo. Well, today I almost fell off my chair!

I randomly decided to check my stats and see where some of my recent traffic has been coming from and to my confusion I had 654 visitors from Apartment Therapy...HUH?

So, I clicked on the link and my heart skipped a beat.

I am small potatoes here folks. While I try desperately to convince you otherwise, I have no idea what I'm doing. No design experience, no training, no skills so to speak of. So to be featured in a place where "real" professionals and super talented people share their stuff is about the biggest compliment I could receive:)

Man alive, this is exciting! If you follow me on FB or Twitter, you already know I had a phone interview yesterday with a national magazine and one of my projects will be featured in the coming months.  Don't worry, I will share as soon as I am, "allowed!"

I am just going to ride this high, while we cut out trains and make banners for my son's BIG train 3rd Birthday Party this weekend. He just doesn't get it-although he likes that I am singing and dancing all over the kitchen:)

  2. Hi Kim,

What an exciting time for you. My tip on the Apartment Therapy link is to not put too much stock into any negative comments (if any) that show up there. It seems to be the culture on that site for people to rip on the projects and it can be kind of discouraging.

That desk is gorgeous and deserves high praise!

  4. Congrats! That is awesome and the desk is FAB! I second Suesan's tip. As great as AT is, their readers can leave scathing comments. Soak up the good ones and ignore any bad ones, should they come your way. :) It's a great project!
